Hello Gentlemen,
This is our class blog (website) which I will use over the coming two years to let you know what we will do / have done in our ICT lessons.
You will check here for instructions on what activities to do, and required files will be on the datapool in the relevant folder.
Your first task on the PC's is to get your 'My Documents' area organised for all the work we will do.
Today you will create folders for all your GCSE ICT work.
- Inside your 'My Documents' area, create a folder called 'GCSE ICT'.
- Inside this folder create two other folders 'Theory' and 'Coursework'.
- Inside the 'Coursework' folder create 6 more folders:
- A1 Multimedia
- A2 Report
- A3 Web Design
- B1 Using the Internet
- B2 Database
- B3 Spreadsheet
Take a screenshot of all the folders you created, print it out (IT1Mono!) and stick this into your book (glue and scissors available from my desk).
Now in your class hardbacked book write a brief summary of what you did in class.
Write out a short explanation of the printers available in my room. You should be able to write how many credits two of the printers use!
Homework:
- You are to get a signature from someone at home to say they have seen the web address for the class blog.
- Make sure you have put a protective back on the text books you were given out!
- Copy out the 2 pages 232 & 233 "Surfing the Internet" from your textbook.
- The writing in red should be written into your book in a TABLE.
